In four sessions we examine how a small group of believers during the early centuries of the Common Era, the most significant of them observant Jews, supported and explained their beliefs. These beliefs culminated in their worship of the long-awaited Messiah—a Jewish man named Jesus. They proved their convictions by referring to a variety of biblical and rabbinic sources, and argued that although they were now to be known as Christians, they were in fact the true Israel.
