Ambassadors’ Progress Report

The leadership of Congregation Or Chadash and Temple Emanu-El are dedicated to providing clear communication on the talks between our congregations. We have a delegation from each synagogue to discuss current issues and future opportunities. This group, now informally called the Ambassadors, has been meeting twice per month to review collaborative efforts and to consider further topics of mutual interest. We are grateful to have the assistance of Rabbi David Fine, Consulting & Transition Management Director at the URJ. Recently, we broadened our focus and began bringing in congregants with expressed interest and specific skill to create task forces. The task forces identified so far include Finance, Governance, Facilities, Religious School, Worship, Rabbinic, Joint Programming and Communications. As these groups begin their meetings to explore the opportunities for our shuls to work together, we will report this information to you by email and in Town Hall or focus-group meetings.
